I recently discovered an up and coming new fashion house called Little Red Riding Hood based in Berlin that specializes in artist print silk scarves. The majoritry of the designs explore themes drawn from classic fairytales and naturalist folklore.
I have always loved the idea of scarves, but have never been able to quite pull them off personally. I never know what to do with them. I always see other people wearing them and think they look nice, but whenever I put on on I just feel like a big awkward turd.
Not to sound too much like a hippie, but the great thing about Little Red Riding Hood scarves is that they can easliy double as tapestries or framed art. If you know anything about the construction of fine scarves then you are aware of how labor intensive making these things is. They truly are great examples of affordable modern art.
